The Clinical Study Center of the Clinical Research Center for Hair and Skin Science plans, conducts and analyses clinical trials and implements respective trial outcomes. The overall aim is the development and support of evidence-based skin care and dermatological treatments over the complete life span, from birth until mature age. Research focus is next to hereditary hairloss in females and males, skin ageing as well as numerous inflammatory skin diseases in children and adults.

Clinical Research at the CRC
The clinical research unit of the CRC comprises a multiprofessional, dedicated team to plan, conduct and analyse clinical trials and implement respective trial outcomes. The overall aim is the development and support of evidence-based skin care and dermatological treatments over the complete life span, from birth until mature age.
Research focus is next to hereditary hairloss in females and males, skin ageing as well as numerous inflammatory skin diseases in children and adults. Within clinical research established and innovative imaging procedures as well as measurement technologies are used in order to measurements of skin structure and skin function and to achieve standardised clinical assessments. The clinical research is accompanied by numerous methodological projects and research cooperations. The implementation of systematic reviews and the development of guidelines also belong to the range of activities.
